Question – Can I make relations with my friend is it possible? By: Mukesh Kumar
My response and answer
Namaste Mukesh
Occasionally I get questions with little content of course they are extremely difficult to answer. With only four words, it is almost impossible to provide a coherent reply. It would be easy for me to reject the enquiry, though in this case I will try to provide a reply using my intuition.
Nevertheless, may I explain a little about my work as a spiritual medium? Spiritual mediums use a divine given gift to interact with people who have moved out into light. The gift when the conditions are right, allows the transfer of messages of comfort and to articulating spiritual information for the benefit of humanity. Fortunately or unfortunately; I do not possess the gift of prediction or future telling. Yes, spiritual mediums do get glimpses of what could happen, though this is not the primary part of their gift. The main fabric of our aptitude is to give ‘proof’ of survival of death beyond our physical life. These days, there is a great desire by some people, to be all things to all people! Perhaps these new protagonists are lured by the material desire of fame, fortune and self-want.
I have given thought and contemplation about your question which provides so to work upon. Therefore, I will not be able to go into great depth with my reply to you. Even so, it appears you are going through a very hard and trying period of your life. Try to look upon your life as collective series of changing experiences with many lessons to be learnt, each in differing circumstances. The movement of life is like the water that runs through a river. Sometimes water flows very slowly almost stopping, and you can gain a feeling of tranquillity, at times life is calm and still. Yet, there are other times when the flow of life is swift, turbulent, and fast flowing throwing producing hazards and uncertainty. Rapids undercurrents and torrents are all part of the movement of a river, an analogy of the mechanism of this life. Materialism and the rapid movement of today is a reflection of shallowness, greed and want. We all wish for better things, but the balance of life ebbs and flows like the great seas and oceans of the world.
My conclusion is; your question gives to me inference of emotional need. Emotions are a fundamental element of the mind and are reflected through the movement of our lives. Happiness is what we all seek, though when we speak of contentment involving others, we have to be careful and realise that others emotions are involved as well. Care is the optimum word to use in the situation, at this moment in time. The whole cycle of events has not unfolded and so making decisions would not provide the ideal scenario. My advice is wait, be patient and realise others are involved, because of this you need to be thoughtful and allow time to be fulcrum. Without balance you will not find the happiness you seek.
May to reach that which you seek and gain balanced happiness? I am sorry with limited information I am restricted in my reply.

Question – IVF By: Petal
Dear Stephen
They say that ‘a baby’ chooses their parents and is a gift from God. But, what if a lady is infertile and as a result of IVF conceives? If the baby is still a gift etc. why shouldn’t she have been able to reproduce naturally or has the natural order been tampered with?
I worry that if someone was destined to be ‘Barren’, there may have been a reason for it … (idk) such as, said person dies early and leaves young children motherless. Rather confused on the issue.
My response and answer
Hello
This is an interesting question, which offers some thought provoking answers. Whereupon one should realise that any answer, can only be within the comprehension, or spiritual understanding of any individual including myself. From reading the question a couple of times I feel part of your confusion is you are looking at these points you raised from a singular dimensional perspective. Sadly, this life like the next is multi-dimensional. Confusing, not really; look at yourself? You are a different person to all of the people you know, each see you within the varying aspects of your life. To one person you may be the font of all knowledge, to another the total opposite. In this life, and the next there points we understand and others we don’t – perhaps this is why spiritual development is key to all individuals reaching the zenith point in their unfoldment and universal wisdom.
In the first instance you mention a child choosing its parents. A point debated by my contemporaries, past and present since the dawn of time. I believe this in general is the case, yet there are always exceptions to any rule. Would one wish to have parents who punish or even murder their children? One would assume the answer is NO! But, what about the great divine plan? Our physical life is part of an unfolding narrative,
which is involved in a collective plan. I am afraid on this point you must make up your own mind. You mention about a lady who through IVF conceives a child. GREAT!!! If this makes a woman happy and a child gains a harmonious, loving and caring upbringing, then thank God for medical science!! I am not sure about the word ‘tampering’ with. The inference is not within my thinking. If God had wanted humanity to stand still, we would be locked in ignorance, at the birth of the human race. What is right and what are wrong, are questions which will lock people of greater knowledge that me, into debate for all time. Science opens the corridors of life, widens our horizons and is capable within medicine of great things relief of pain, happier living and comfort to the mind.
You also mention the word ‘barren’. This is another word, which conjures up a negative image and throws my mind back to my distant youth. I go to a time when many women were ostracised or considered ‘lesser’ if they couldn’t conceive children. Not pleasant – perhaps this is why God gave medical science the ability to create ‘In Vitro Fertilisation’ or as you said IVF. Perhaps God has altered in your words ‘the natural order’ – to the many ladies who can now, through IVF, have a child to love and a life where they feel totally fulfilled I would say thank you GOD……………………………………………….
I hope your worries of a person being destined to be barren are now eradicated. I am not sure what (idk) means, so I cannot give a reply. If as you say a person dies by the natural order then the process of ‘cause and effect’ comes into the equations. If a women, passes from this life into the ‘World of Light’ and leaves a child, then it is destiny. Life and physical death are revolving doors on the wheel of life. Our companions in light support us all and everything thing is moving, nothing is still. All will be understood when we take a very small step, out from this world into eternity. Well that will be; when the great creator calls each and every one of us, back to the homeland of peace, light and total love……………………
I hope this helps you to reach into your heart to understand the mechanism of spirituality?

Question – Question – Alzheimer’s by: Petal
Dear Stephen,
“Is someone with the end stage of Alzheimer’s still on the earthly plain, the other or both”?
My response and answer
Hello
Thank you for the question on Alzheimer’s. First of all may I spend a few moments clarifying Alzheimer’s disease (AD), which is known within
the medical fraternity it is known as a common form of dementia. To-date there has been no cure found for the disease, which progressively gets worse, eventually leading to physical death.
It is the German psychiatrist and neuropathologist Aloysius ‘Alois’ Alzheimer, born on the 14th June 1864 passing into light on 19th December 1915. Alzheimer is credited with identifying the first published case of ‘presenile dementia’, which was later identified as Alzheimer’s Disease. AD is most often diagnosed in people over the age of 65 although less prevalent the onset of Alzheimer’s can occur much earlier. It is predicted that Alzheimer’s will affect 1 in 85 people globally by the year 2050. Once the disease advances, symptoms can include irritability, confusion and aggression with polar mood-swings, difficulty with trouble with language, and the advent of long-term memory loss. Steadily, all bodily functions are lost; when the sufferer starts to decline, they frequently step away from their family and society.
Now back to the question in hand. Obviously, I am not a medical practitioner, nor medically trained, therefore my answer falls within the realms of spiritual knowledge and comprehension. First of all one should look at the physical life of anyone of us. We are innately spiritual by nature of our being. We have three parts; the physical body, the spiritual or etheric body and the soul, the ‘great light’ of all things. Whilst we are within the sphere of earth we live inside its laws and restrictions. Our physical life span may be a solitary moment or 100 years or more.
The difference with the physical body is that it is responsive to time, ageing, illness and physical limitations. Perhaps an analogy of a motor vehicle may help? You may buy a brand new car, shining in pristine condition. But, time and wear take their toll, gradually the car wears down, parts have to be replaced and with age, more need is required to keep it in shape. With the ageing process there are the problems of increased break-downs and slowing down is considered the norm. Time and tide wait for no man; no matter what you do, replacing broken parts, having a re-spray (in this life a face-lift) time takes its toll. Nothing alters the fact; the car will ultimately be recycled in the breakers yard. Whether a car, or a physical body, we are subject to the changing movement of time. In short, we get older until we are ready for our movement into the great world of light and peace. From my spiritual teachers knowledge I learnt a great lesson; ‘the whole of this physical world is the tomb of man, but our spirit will move forward out into the golden dawn and beyond’.
Some schools of thought believe we are held between the ‘Two-Worlds’. From my perspective, nothing could be farther from the true. Once the movement of this life is complete we move out into a celestial setting, out from pain, anguish and sorrow. Yes, we are attached by means of a simple process – thought held within our mind!
Towards the later stages of our physical life, we step closer to our eternal homeland, drawing closer though the concept of the mind. In many cases pain just simply slips away, though we retain the memory of events in this life. Try to remember the vital role of ‘memory’ which is an integral component of the mind. The movement from one energy field (earth) goes out into the divine setting in the Summerland of peace, gaining joy and happiness. Now at last this journey is complete, the cycle of life complete, so now for that greater journey in the realms of eternal bliss…………………………
Whilst we are in the physical body we live within this world, yet we are still attached to the spiritual dimensions through the ‘chord of light’. Until the moment of physical death, we are still within this world. At the moment when the ‘chord of light’ is severed, we are released into the spheres of the spiritual. As a result, whether we have suffered with Alzheimer’s, cancer or simply old age until the moment of release, when the chord is broken, we are either in ‘Earth or in Spirit’. Yes, we are always between ‘Two-Worlds’! Why? Because we are spirit and we are always
attached, the problem is that many people don’t realise this and are hell-bent on gaining short-term gain – material acquisitions and profit. In the end, matter will count for nothing, if our efforts have been singular and detrimental to others. At the end of our physical life, matter is essential, but no longer anything more than a memory. Memory may be lost through the disease Alzheimer’s; this is because ailments of the physical body, in this case the brain, a progressive illness. Once we have moved forward into the ‘World of Light’ all of our faculties are renewed – because all things have their creation in spirit.
I hope this helps with understanding the simplicity of life. Measurement is not material, it is spiritual, because one day, we will all move out into a world that is only a breath away.
In peace, light and spiritual attainment

Question – Spirit orbs? By: Sara
I believe I may have had a few experiences with spirit orbs. I know very little about these except I’ve heard that they are spirits that are getting
ready to manifest themselves. My question is, just what are they manifesting into?
Should I be frightened? I mean the first time this thing was like 12″ in diameter, very cold and right in front of my face one night after waking to use the restroom. I didn’t know what it was but I could feel the cold on my face from it. It then floated over to right above my sleeping husband. I just thought I was dreaming, wasn’t until several months later I just happened to be watching a show on TV that talked about them and that’s when I learned what it was.
The next time was recently, I live some distance from family and I received a phone call from my sister saying that my brother was missing. We weren’t too concerned it was just that she received a phone call from a neighbour saying he had found my brothers dog wondering the streets. Again we had no real reason for alarm. The next morning as I went to make up my bed, I saw an image of my brother in my blankets, curled up in a foetal position, eyes closed, I stared at him for several seconds. I blinked and he was gone. That same night when almost asleep in bed I open my eyes and there was another orb, much smaller which was again in front of my face. Between that and the image of my brother in the morning I knew something was wrong.
Well 9 days later his body was found in a creek bed, he died in 18 inches of water from hyperthermia. Could he have come to see me, to let me know, was he trying to tell me something? I didn’t imagine these things, I live 1500 miles away and had no idea that something so tragic had happened to him. Please if you can offer any ideas or advice I would love to hear it, or send me in a direction where I might get these questions answered.
Since his death I have felt his presence close to me, in my car, family members have had beautiful dreams that he comes back and apologizes says he’s sorry for messing up like he did. He gives long hugs and says goodbye. Nice dreams.
Thank you for your time, its greatly appreciated.
Peace, Sara
My answer
Dear Sara
This is an interesting question, though there are many schools of thought about this particular subject. However, may I say ‘Orbs’ is not an area where my spiritual work really gets too involved within; please let me explain more? If I look way back to my early formative years; I have objectively observed or been aware of spiritual energies and the interaction between the ‘Two-Worlds’.
It seems like many years ago, when I first got involved in Spiritualism, like all individuals my spiritual capacity was developed and extended. Part of my spiritual unfoldement at this juncture in my life, was to gain greater awareness of movement and changes of ‘energy’. All of this is a natural occurrence, part of becoming more attuned and aware of fluctuation and energy transformation, often seen as colourful bursts of energy around, or about people. At times this was like watching spherical balls of energy, in a pyrotechnics show! I would observe energy bursting into a kaleidoscope of colours, at times clear or occasionally semi-opaque. I thought everyone saw them, but this is not the case, though all people have the sensory capacity for interaction between people who now reside in the ‘World of Light’.
So your first question what do ‘orbs’ turn into? Again, one can only answer within one’s own spiritual understanding and comprehension. For me they are simply energy. Now perhaps a thought about what we are? Yes we have physical body, but what gives you life? Of course life exists through the creator of all things, sometime called the omnificent presence, or generally known as ‘God’. But, the essence of our presence is the ‘Soul’ the source of all things. In simple terms, it is described as: “spiritual energy, which manifests itself through the physical body”. Without this energy, we would simply not exist. Therefore, I see orbs as a focused concentrated point of spiritual energy, which allows people to be aware of a natural spiritual phenomenon. To me, this occurrence is a special portal, for our spiritual friends in light, to make themselves known, to
those of us, in this world of matter. Today, there are many who see this as paranormal activity, I do not! It is natural and nothing to be feared. Fear is lack of knowledge, and those people in ‘light’ wish that we reach and gain happiness and peace.
You mention when seeing an orb, you felt cold. This is nothing to fear it is a change in conditions – awareness this is all. It is my belief that what you have glimpsed is through your own spiritual capacity. This is why you were able to determine the image of your brother. Often through a still, calm mind, our companions in light, project images which we interpret often looked upon as intuition, or enlightening of the sixth-sense.
With the information you have provided. I would say you show the characteristics of a person with great spiritual capacity, a divine gift. However, one needs to open the gift slowly like a delicate flower. Fear is often the emotion which holds one back. Trepidation and lack of knowledge is an obstacle. Yet, within your words, it would appear you have broken through this barrier, with your description of seeing and sensing your brothers presence around and about you. I like you have been privileged to observe my friends and family in the ‘World of Light and Beauty’. Without a doubt, this was the catalyst for the work I have undertaken for over 30 years – once you see objectively, you realise how fortunate you are. Life is continuity, and like you the memory is a stimulus to support and help other less fortunate.
Hold fast to your dreams, they are a wonderful way of taking you into the anti-room of the next world the ‘Astral Plane’. Enjoy them and the link of light, love and understanding for the years ahead, until you are reunited in the great Summerland of eternity.

A very kind reply
Mr. Wakeling,
Thank you very much for responding to me and for what a beautiful response. I do truly believe he visited me. It’s hard to talk about this with just anyone without them thinking you’re nuts but I just needed some input from someone with knowledge about these things.
I’m not really sure how to feel about this now, but I do know that I don’t want to feel afraid. I even told him as much, that he could talk to me but that he better not do anything to scare me and so far he hasn’t.
Maybe now though if I mention this, I felt as if there was something “bad” around him and I was worried about him, his soul I guess. Gosh this sounds crazy to me. I’m not sure that I want these experiences but I don’t want him to be gone either. I have just been feeling so strange ever since, a real different kind of constant feeling as if I am outside of myself, shock, grief? I just don’t know.
I thank you for your time and sharing this explanation to me, it does help.
Again thank you.
Peace, Sara
Question – Mediums challenge by: Ann Marsden
Why have my bookings dried up? I had been doing mediumship for some years and I feel if I was no good then I should have been told. I know
there is a protocol as to informing mediums. But I think this is upsetting I am told that spirit stopped me from doing my calling, this was told to me by another medium and so I must accept this.
My response and answer
Hello
Thank you for your question. I have taken time to ponder upon what from the outset appears a simple response; however I feel there is greater depth and content required on this subject.
First of all I must confirm that you have provided very little content and with this type of question I confess that my answer is from a wholly literal perspective. In short I don’t know you personally, also I wish not to fall into a trap many find themselves in; one where judgement is made by people, who at best, should reserve their opinions to themselves. On this point I would rather use the old adage; ‘even God doesn’t judge, it is we who ultimately judge ourselves – for God he is the one who permits’. Simple words, yet words with greater depth when you open out your thought process………………………….
In respect of your terminology about your spiritual bookings ‘drying up’, this is nothing uncommon. It happens to all of us from time to time. Nonetheless, there are a number of reasons why bookings can become less. Generally, if the standard of mediumship we see today is anything to attribute by, ‘quality’ is the least likely reason. Often it is the booking secretaries who are instigators of the poor standards we encounter. Whether a person ‘fits-in’ or will save the booking secretary time or problems by taking a vast amount of spiritual meetings in a given period of time. Perhaps it is all down to personalities? Yet one of the greatest barriers and holders back of spiritual work is jealousy – a deadly disease sadly one which roots are like tentacles squeezing out the life-blood of spirituality. We are in changing times, like the movement of the pendulum, spirituality perpetually moving from truth to religion. Today, we are in the grasps of almost a religious fever. Why? Simple look at religion through the years, turn the pages of history and you will soon realise, that for all the promise, the lure of power is an aphrodisiac which strangles the life blood of spirituality. For me I prefer my spiritual work to be spiritual, so your reference to protocol, one presumes it has gone out of the proverbial window.
You infer within your text, something which is the vital ingredient for ‘all true’ spiritual mediums; the word is ‘sensitivity’. Sensitivity is a fundamental ingredient within the make-up of mediums. Without it, you will not aspire to mediumship. But, sensitivity and awareness become the opposite ends of the spectrum – either giving rise to ‘gift or curse’. Even Hollywood films depict this dichotomy. I would assume you are mediumistic having received this divine gift. Like all of us, you are going through one of those difficult periods of your unfoldement. As I am sure you are aware; no one is fully developed, we all experience the ups and downs of life. Years ago, a medium told me ‘all mediums have to suffer, with problems, pain, etc to gain and develop their gifts’, absolute and total rubbish. The same opinion I have of the medium you mention within your question. I might wager another person with little or no knowledge – dangerous when we are working with other people’s emotions, sensitivity and feelings.
In conclusion, I would suggest you listen within yourself, open your mind and hold faith. All mediums, me included, have the same problems, and yes, we all have times when another avenue of spiritual work seems better. We get over it and move forward, this is my recommendation to you. One final thought. About four years ago I was in West Yorkshire taking a spiritual meeting on a Sunday evening. At the end of the service, the congregation in unison, all applauded, the chairperson said: ‘on a Sunday evening I’ve never heard that before and I’ve been coming here for 50 years.’ I’m still waiting for the booking secretary to ask for another booking. If it were not for inner-strength it would make you weep!
I wish you well as the old saying went: ‘you have now joined the club’.

Question – Death of my father by: Sandra
Dear Stephen
I lost my dad on 23rd December 2011 at age of 89 years. We were very close and I have always been there for him. However he was taken to hospital on 8th December 2011 and though I visited as I could, this was different to other hospital stays which were local and I would stay for
hours. This hospital was little further away and visiting hours more restricted. I then caught a virus from the hospital and hadn’t seen him for a few days. By the time the door rang my mother and sister on 23rd December to say dad had taken turn for worse and expected to live for 2 days we raced to the hospital, only to find dad deeply distressed and obviously panicking as though suffocating and flaying his arms. He could no longer speak, his eyes looked weird and he was trying to speak with groaning gasps. To say I was in deep distress and shocked is an understatement. I could not watch my father panicking to stay alive and went outside the ward. I visited and said a prayer in the chapel, walked the street outside, and hid in the lift well. When I eventually went back to ward, daddy had passed. I spent the next couple of hours kissing him and telling him how much I loved him and thanked him for being so wonderful.
My anguish is made worse as I feel I let him down in his last few days when he needed me like no other time! This pain is excruciating! I have been a good daughter and told my dad practically everyday of my 50 years that I love him and have shown him great love – it is the last week or so that deeply upsets me as i have never let daddy down before. Can I find out if he is ok now? I have been told before that I have psychic powers and would like to put them to use if I know how!
1) Was it a pure coincidence that my best friend of 30 years, Christine also lost her father on the same day I lost mine? Her father died at 5.30am and mine at 5.30pm have you any thoughts on these Stephen. We are having a job believing this to be coincidental!
2) About 19 years ago, I lost a dear friend – I sat on my settee looking at a photograph of her a few days after she died – I was deep in thought about her. All of a sudden a glass droplet on my chandelier hanging from the ceiling smashed into fragments after hitting the coffee table below! Is this what you mean by ‘energy’ from the other side?
Please help
Thank you!
My response and answer
Dear Sandra
May I say how sorry I am to hear the sad news of your father’s passing? Whatever time in the year, Christmas or festive times are often more distressing and poignant, which brings the reflection within our memory, ever more heart rendering. I would have replied to you before, but with the sensitivity involved my thinking is often to await instructions from my companions, who reside in light. I am extremely sorry to hear of your sad news and the obvious difficulties you are having at this point in time.
My thoughts are for you and your family. It is never easy for any person, held within the clutch of grief, anguish and loss. Belief in continued existence beyond physical death is difficult for many people, though we talk about proof of survival – we will always miss the physical touch of our loved ones. Like you, many people become distressed when they are not present at a loved one’s moment of passing. I reflect upon my own fathers passing. The effects appear to be similar to the words you write within your correspondence. It is difficult, we can ask again and again why? Sadly, there is nothing we can do to alter the past, though I assure you; all who leave the world of earth are welcomed into the ‘Summerland of light and Peace’ generally, by a person who they have known, or respected. Whether an individual is young, a child, in their adolescence, or matured in years, we miss that of which we have built – love! As I say too many, think about those happy golden days when love was built and grew. Love is the bridge between the ‘Two-Worlds’, a composite which never dies, diminishes, or is lost. Love conquers all things and the great light of the creator of all things man has called God holds the bond together!
If you have built a relationship on love, over many years, then it will stand the test of time. Time is not a measurement in the next world. Nevertheless, there is a gauge based on spiritual growth. The growth of the bond of love is a continuum never diminishing, fading, or lost. I am sure that such things work through a natural process and measured with the accepted process of cause and effect.
Lack of understanding about spiritual matters, with people who have limited knowledge, along with silly statements form egocentricities add to the confusion which abounds today. Misinterpretation of understanding of spiritual matters doesn’t help the situation you find yourself in and compounds the grief you refer to in your words. Today we have growth of individuals, who pronounce to the world they are the panacea and holders of all knowledge. Nothing could be further from the truth. Common-sense often goes out of the window, as a result, making it challenging for the acceptance of eternal life, for many people.
You ask about coincidence? This is a question that I can only answer from my own perspective, knowledge and understanding. My answer is simple – no! I am a fatalist through the interpretation of my own comprehension. However, your views may be different – it is purely a point for personal interpretation alone. Difficult as it may seem; I believe things happen for a reason, good or not so good. We are all on the cycle of life, each at different points, yet each interacting with each other. Something happens and a reaction takes place – the essence for me is to gain knowledge and maintain one’s equilibrium. With the situation you mention I only have limited detail. I feel if there was coincidence – it was for a reason, a reason you will need to find within your own heart, realisation and comprehension.
Your second question relates to your friend some nineteen years ago. You were thinking about your friend, whilst looking at her photograph. You say that a glass droplet, from your chandelier fell from the ceiling and smashed into fragments – do I think it is spiritual energy? You also refer to having ‘psychic powers’. Indeed, everyone has such a capacity – though I much prefer to use the word spiritual. Powers; I am not sure
about the terminology, personally having a preference for the words of awareness, appreciation and sensitivity of spiritual matters. Yes, everyone holds within themselves the key to all things, our spirituality is an aspect of our divine nature. We are all in touch with the greater energies of the universe and our companions’ who have stepped beyond the ‘golden dawn’ into the future life in our celestial homeland. Your friend may well have used this exercise with the droplet to make you aware of her presence. You say you were thinking about her – thought! Thought is a living thing, again, an interconnecting capacity between us in the ‘World of Earth’ to our loved ones in the eternal ‘World of Light’. The linkage again is simple – it is love!
May I suggest the exercise of objective and positive thought? This is a simple process which you can use to build the bridge between any of your loved ones who have moved into light. Use a photograph, personal artefact, or token of love, to help your spiritual faculty to strengthen. This uncomplicated exercise is the starting point, often helping a person in grief to build a heavenly link – often established through sleep and held within the landscape of our dreams.
I wish you peace and happiness in that you find harmony within yourself. Please try to think of your entire family of loved ones, now in light as ‘stars that shine bright’. The brightness of happy thoughts will gladden their hearts, and help lift your own soul. I have attached a poem received from my great spiritual teacher and companion of light. It is about a star – I hope it helps.
Showers of Peace and Blessings
Stephen
A Star
Think of me, when I was a star, which shone so bright
Not, when life had faded, and gone
But, that a golden light, has lit the darkened night
From hand of time and ashen memory, should no more belong
Out, I’ve moved, when night beckons dawn and light is broken
No more tears sodden eyes to weep, or lost unhappy stare
Climb through clouds, soar high to greet, recall soft words we have spoken
For all around like fresh new life, crystal clear on frozen breath, that holds no fear
Do not think of life with grief, but for all the joyous love, it keep
Oh happy life, diamond bright, of wonders that never cease
Echoes memories from our lives, and rhythmic gentle heartbeats
Then, light of life bring forth, thy choir of angels, sing and give us peace
For as a star I will always shine, tomorrow, we’re are not apart
Within your mind, like candle light least not to flicker, nor fade
Let words of light and love; hold fast the key within my heart
To future happiness, to meet again beyond new dawn, together we have made!

Question - Groups with Voting Authority in Heaven by: Donna B
Dear Stephen Wakeling
Can you tell me anything about Groups with Voting Authority in Heaven? I have had two experiences in this regard since my Voice (singing) Teacher, Charlene Andres, passed away this fall. In the first experience, my former choir director, Dale Harpham, who Charlene is with, spoke to me one morning and told me that, we have voted, and she has been appointed to you. We know you need her on New Year’s Eve, December 31st 2011, my grandmother, was sent to tell me that, either “they voted OR “it was voted that you will have Charlene with you for a long time”. I asked “how long is a long time”? My grandmother answered, “as long as you need her”. I was very close to Charlene, and am really struggling with my grief, so this was a lovely gift.
Dale is obviously part of a Group that has the authority to vote and make certain kinds of decisions. I wanted to know if you could tell me anything about this kind of Group that exists in Heaven.
My response and answer
Hello Donna
Voting is within the material and material doesn’t count for anything in the ‘World of Soul’. I feel from your question that there is confusion between this world and the next: You cannot measure between the two, each having its own natural laws and due processes. I believe this question needs to be addressed to a spiritual development class where a teacher/mentor can take away clouded issues and allow you to grasp simple spiritual concepts.
Last night I listened to a ‘Direct Voice’ tape from the great medium Leslie Flint. The information was from a famous lady pilot ‘Amy Johnson’, who explains that machines and material movement are of no value, except memories, once you have crossed into eternity. Perhaps you would like to visit this page on: www.leslieflint.com (scroll down to the last third of the page, the name Amy Johnson will appear on the left) which I personally found to be very enlightening.
Question – Afterlife & Reincarnation By: Ciro Verdi
Hello Stephen,
I have not had any paranormal experiences that I am aware of except having a privileged life and three accomplished careers where, uncannily, door after door, uninitiated by me, opened to me. I have had a lifelong interest in the paranormal, and I am keenly interested in connecting with a medium, psychic or paranormal specialist. Not so much to validate, but to obtain the answers to two questi1) I have no doubt, looking back on my life’s experiences that I have been guided and protect by a spirit guide or guides, and would like to know who it might be?
2) Would I be able to further develop my talents on the other side, or will I just pick up where I left off when I return?
Ciro
My Answer
Hello Ciro
May I explain that in general I only answer one question at a time, for each person, owing to time restraints? However, the first question is quite a simple answer, though there might be a little confusion over the word paranormal. Basically, the word ‘Paranormal’ means; pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event, or perception without scientific explanation. Taking this from a literal perspective, I refer to my work as a spiritual mediumship, as a normal and natural process of communication. To clarify, mediumship is the desire to grasp and understand spiritual matters, whilst attaining spiritual balance and enlightenment.
Although you may have not been aware of any spiritual interaction, they happen throughout everyone’s physical life and answered within your enquiry when you mention how ‘door after door opens for you’. Today, many people are too concerned about the terminology appertaining to paranormal, tending to dwell in darkness, ignorance and fear. But when you open your spiritual capacity, light floods into your heart and embracing your whole being. You mention ‘Spirit Guides’ and who they are. I am sorry, this is a question you must ask either yourself, or a person who can help you to unfold your spiritual awareness and understanding. If you use the portal of your mind you will be drawn to place, or a person, this is a starting point to move forward from. Spiritual companions help and support, they are with us to help the whole of humanity, working beyond the singular process of any individual. We are part of a group of souls, some in this physical world and other moving through the many corridors of light in our eternal homeland. Spirit Guides are spiritually highly developed, who have experienced many things and possess infinitely attuned knowledge. Some people believe ‘Spirit Guides’ see all things, this is not correct. Yet, they see a little further along the pathway we are walking. Spiritual Guides are often called communicators; to me a little impersonal; I much prefer to know them as friends and companions of light………………………………….
Sadly, some talk about ‘Spirit Guides’ almost as if they were no more than theatrical accessories, giving allusion to Native American Indians, Zulu’s or Nuns etc. The garments they wear may be reflections of a previous life they have lived. The great spiritual teacher ‘Silver Birch’, stated; through the reflection of his persona, namely a Native American Indian. I show this guise purely for the purpose of recognition. The most important point was for him to transfer spiritual information, to many people around the world. May I suggest you try to find a book of his? I am sure the philosophical knowledge within the words will open your mind to the simplicity of the ‘World of Light’, a natural, not supernatural sphere of peace and harmony.
The second question: “to further develop your talents on the other side, or to pick up where you left off”? Perhaps, you might give a thought to why you are in this world, at this specific point in time? We are all upon the wheel of life, each of us at different points. This world is the ‘schoolhouse of learning’; it is NOW that is important. When we make mistakes, as we all do – ask the question – ‘have you learnt from them’? Life really is quite simple. We all interact with each other, building our capacity, developing, growing and supporting the people we interact with. All of these points are rudimental for our individuality, personalities and spiritual comprehension. Nothing is lost; we take the lessons of life with us, throughout our journey into eternity. In this life and the next, we make mistakes, encountering up’s and down’s, moving, through a kaleidoscope of emotions. Seeking and finding, exploring and balancing the mechanism of life, is a continuous process. Yet, all is integral to our interaction with the whole family of humanity.
My conclusion is not to worry about where you will start again in the next world. Life is more about growth and the development of your spirituality. Movement from one life to another may be likened to a revolving-door. Though reincarnation is the exception not the rule! There is a divine reason for all things, whether you are here, or you have entered into the ‘Golden Light’. Find spirituality within yourself, then extend and grow.
In thoughts of spiritual comprehension

Question – Re: what does my life hold? By: Margaret Sloan
I always feel lost and sad what does my life hold for me will I ever feel happy.
My Answer
Hello Margaret
Thank you for your question. It is always saddening to hear of anyone whose life appears to be down and unhappy. Life is a collection of experiences during our physical life; we all have highs and lows. It is often difficult when things appear to unfold negatively, as it seems is the situation for you, at the point in time.
From a personal perspective I wish I had the ability to change things for you, but sadly I cannot. I am just a spiritual medium. As such, my work is to act as a bridge between the ‘Two-Worlds’ and interconnect with loved ones who have passed over into light. May I suggest that if you are down with you health, you either seek one of these two options. Firstly, if you are depressed may I suggest you talk to a qualified physician or councillor. Alternatively, if you are looking for psychic answer, you contact a psychic, or fortune-teller, because this is within the realms of their gift and not that of a spiritual medium.
I am truly sorry that I can be of no other help other than to send out my thoughts and prayers and wish you well that all things open up positively for you in the future.

Question – Closure by: Lynne Hudson
Dear Stephen,
I am 58 and have struggled with this since just after my 14th birthday – 3rd August 1967. You see, my father was killed on the 22nd August 1967 – or so it seemed at the time – Coroner’s Verdict: Misadventure. I now know different.
You see, a night or so before his death, there was the most horrible argument in my home. I was supposed to be in bed – but I wasn’t – in fact, I was sitting on the stairs crying and listening to all that went on. What I heard downstairs, I have never forgotten. My mother was present, as were my sisters and my brother-in-law. My elder sister screamed a home truth at my dad and her words struck a huge chord inside of me. I knew what she meant, but I could not go in that room and say “This happened to me too”. The whole thing was horrible and none was aware for years, that I had heard anything.
It was only a day or so afterwards, that the Police came to the door and told my poor mum that my father had been killed. That period was terrible for my family – our lives were turned upside down and my mum, whose health had never been good, took it very badly and her health deteriorated. I never did dare tell anyone what had happened to me, least of all, my two sisters, and it wasn’t until I was in my thirties that my sister told me what happened to her and my other sister, prompting me to tell her – it happened to me as well. She told me that she and my sister knew that dad had committed suicide and I knew instantly, that they were right. She told me that they never knew about me – well, how could they – I was so much younger.
I have always been quite a spiritual person and have over the years, had some quite profound encounters and experiences – not every day, but at
certain times in my life. We all grew up knowing that my mum was psychic and it does run in the family. She would regularly dream things which would come true shortly after – so strange. Since she died in 1984, she has visited me in my dreams and these dreams have been very meaningful, although there has been nothing about what happened all those years ago. Over the last couple of years, I so seem to have become more spiritually aware than ever before – even to the point of seeing my recently deceased and much loved cousin, whilst wide awake and in the presence of my husband. I found out why, the day after – her son was getting married – she looked ecstatic so I told him what happened! I was really overwhelmed at the fact that I actually saw her – it was like watching a moving picture. I am sure that I am becoming much more spiritually aware.
Why then can I not see or hear from my father??? My sister cannot forgive him, but I have – long ago and I love him, but can find no closure for what happened to us as children. Can you offer any suggestions or help Stephen as to why – I would greatly appreciate your help???
My Answer
Dear Lynne
Thank you for your correspondence. I have taken sometime to reply, because I needed to reflect deeply upon my answer to you. Many of the questions I receive have a direct connection with people’s emotions. So, it is vital to reply in a considered manner. Nonetheless, through your text there are supposition and inference, which could conjure up incorrect conclusions. May I confirm with all questions; I take the standpoint that my answer in generic. As such; I take a literal view of the content. In short, I do not give reference to individuals mentioned within the text, or with limited facts, assimilate information about those who have passed into light.
Sensitivity is more pronounced, when one speaks of a situation of suicide. Also, where there has been a conflict other emotions are evoked.
Whatever things may have been, the past is the past and cannot be changed. Life for all of us has its twists and turns. Perhaps, this is how the fabric of our physical life is moulded through happy or sad – good and bad. Our lives are fashioned on the lives of those people who have gone before us, we respond to the circumstances we have encountered upon life’s path. But, we must move forward, grasp light and take away the shadows of the past, reflect upon the future and try to seek balance. I have a placed a ‘footnote’ below for your attention I hope it helps? The sad situation of suicide, affects so many people, in so many different ways. From a spiritual perspective, one tries to ascertain the factors within a person’s life that lead to the point in time where there appears only one escape, physical death – by one’s own hand. No one is perfect; we are all imperfect, seeking our fulfilment through our salvation and enlightenment. It would appear you have accepted your father’s shortcoming, a movement forward in the process of closure and understanding. It is difficult for many people to come to terms with forgiveness; all of us have times when it is hard to forgive. Yet, to forgive is compassion, whereupon your rewards are bountiful. In the ‘World of Light’ we all come to terms with our failings and weaknesses, a point in our spiritual unfoldement, we all have to confront. It would appear you have accepted this fact; perhaps your sister has this barrier to overcome. Nevertheless, from your phrasing, it shows you have moved forward with your own personal closure and taken the first steps forward……………………………..
It would seem you are spirituality more attuned and aware than your sister. Perhaps, you can show her the doorway of light. You mention not seeing, or hearing, your father from an objective perspective. Coming together is a two-way process; this may be the reason why you have seen your father through the ‘landscape of your dreams’. Take-heart you have moved in the right direction, slowly, gradually the eternal link opens wider with our loved ones, who now dwell in the ‘Kingdom of Eternal Light’. Move forward, until the great day, when you are in total light, to be reunited with your friends and loved-ones, whereupon you gain greater understanding, peace and forgiveness, beyond the imperfections we have in this world.
Wishing you harmony, closure and peace

Life swings like a pendulum, gathering momentum, gliding effortlessly through the movement of time. The essence is balance from one emotion to another. Our axis spins on a movement from happiness or sorrow, peace or turbulence and heartache to joy, always seeking the balance.Yet, the equilibrium is central to the purpose of life, just an animated moment, a second within the scale of time, a breath of clarity, then back upon the spinning wheel of life.

Question – Need help by: Patricia
Dear Stephen
I have been widowed almost two years now. My beloved husband Kevin died from an illness he contracted whilst on business in the Far East. Shortly afterwards, I moved from Crawley East Sussex to be near friends in Newark-on-Trent. Kevin and I never had children, so it was important
to be around people who could support me through a very difficult period in my life. Although the sense of loss has lessened with time, there is rarely a day goes by when I do not think of my wonderful husband. Kevin loved to collect souvenirs on his travels, sometimes he’d bring back so many we would sell the odd one or two through an Antique Dealer we know near Hammersmith. Before moving North I put many of Kevin’s collectables into storage and tried to get on with my life in my new flat without the clutter that filled our old house. Then a couple of months ago I visited the Antique Collectors Fair at Newark show ground where I happened to see one of Kevin’s pieces. It was definitely his, a small figurine he had bought for me in Hong Kong. We sold it on about ten years ago. I had to buy it of course and took it home where I put it on the coffee-table in the lounge.
It’s a dear little thing, a wooden carving of a fisherman and it made me smile to think that it had found its way home. In my lonely moments I even found myself talking to him as if it could hear. Then late last Wednesday night after locking up I noticed a strange smell. It was fragrant like pipe-smoke. At first I thought it might be coming from my neighbour, and then I noticed it was particularly strong around the fisherman to the point that it made me cough. I was so unnerved by this that I couldn’t sleep all night and daren’t leave the bedroom until morning. This happened again on Saturday night and yesterday evening.
I have been afraid to tell anyone about this in case they think I’m losing my marbles, but this evening the smell is worse than ever and there’s an odd feeling here that I can’t describe? I don’t understand what is going on. And I don’t know what to do? I’m not normally superstitious but fear the figure is possessed by something. I’m afraid to tell my friends and a little frightened and hope that you can offer some advice or some kind of explanation.

My Answer
Dear Patricia
Many thanks for your poignant, sad, though very interesting letter. I have so many parallels with the content, the questions you ask make it even more worthy of note for me to respond as quickly as possible. First of all, may I send my personal thoughts to you, after any tragic loss the pain is like a scar, so easily opened. The expression within your words indicates the strength of feeling you have built, and love is the great bond which builds the bridge between the ‘Two-worlds’. I feel that the move you house move you made, along with children being around, helps to give you inner-strength and was a good inspired decision.
Newark-on-Trent is not too far from my home city. I know the area well. I even have friends in the antique trade, who spend much time searching for local antiquities in Newark itself. You mention a wooden figurine. I am more of a ‘fatalist’, believing than events occur because of fate, rather than by chance. With the figure you purchased, I am more of the opinion this was something which was meant to be. Taking this viewpoint and your desire to in your words “talk to him”, one now opens up a most interesting point. Please let me explain more? Often when one losses a loved one, it is difficult for a communicative channel to open. So often saddened people wish only for a specific thing for their own personal (proof), this can become a blockage, or barrier for our loved-ones in ‘light’ to reach through and touch us with their love. Nonetheless, there is a way, if you are not able to see a spiritual medium, or gain direct communication with a loved one who has passed on. The process is not too dissimilar to the one you describe.
First of all, one needs to find a quiet place to be alone. Possibly a point of solace, where you are in light; now relax and start to concentrate on that one person, not too hard, again relax, be patient and you can open the facet of your mind. Generally a photograph, a watch, or artefact that is assimilated with the person you love will help you. Gain peace, calm, or possible a piece of your favourite music, which both parties enjoy, try to gain inner-peace. Again, open the mind with positive thoughts of happiness, of those halcyon days you have spent together. The linkage process may not happen immediately, but give it time and think only of light, – total light! You are focusing your energy, building the bridge – try to remember that everyone of the family of humanity, have the capacity to interact in the form of mediumship, it is only that for some it is more attuned. This procedure is self-development of the mind, something we can all do. Focus on the small figurine bought for you in Hong Kong, you have opened that natural gift; through its expression, you are building the link of love. You may also gain clearer sight through your dreams – the landscape of the spirit. Try to build this through the sleep process a procedure that goes back beyond the Ancient Egyptians’ to the dawn of time – the calm mind gains and brings thoughts of the purest.
May I go back to your point about ‘smell’? I have to go back to my days as a ‘Training Consultant’, where on a specific module relating to ‘Communication’ I would refer to a particular theory on the communicative processes. The hypothesis is known as “Merabians Theory”. The supposition in communication is about ‘gaining understanding’, and grasping percentage values for understanding the communication process. When one refers to sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. I would introduce a simple exercise on speculating percentages, obviously up to 100%. What percent of each sensory capacity and so on. Without going into depth; sight equals 87%, hearing 9% and the other three take up the remaining 4%. The theory is all about communication, which leads to including body language or using its more precise terminology – (none-verbal communication).
When we speak of spiritual inter-communication; sight (clairvoyance) becomes lesser, with hearing heightening (clairaudient) higher. The other sensory capacities touch, taste and smell also increase and known as (clairsentience). With the gift of mediumship most people hear rather than see. Most see through the facet of the mind ‘subjective clairvoyance’, yet, a very small amount of mediums see clearly ‘objective clairvoyance’.
So, this is my conclusion. Without doubt you do not have a problem. The gift we all share is the link between the ‘Two-Worlds’, which has opened to your sensory aptitude, allowing your mind to open the doorway into light. Why in evenings – again simple, because your senses are more alert – that is all. The problem nowadays, is there is all of this silly talk about paranormal – things that go bump in the night. There was a programme on the television last night, I was flicking the channels and there they were, in a dark cellar, no light, cold, damp asking if there was anyone there? Amazing, but if this is how people want to spend their night – good for them, it is their choice. I prefer to focus my mind on loved ones who now reside in the ‘Kingdom of Eternal Light’ free from pain, sorrow and sadness who are moving in a great world of freedom and peace.
You also asked what is happening. Well you have now asked a question, seeking a little knowledge. Nothing has, or will happen to you, because those in the ‘World of Light’ are there to help, support and comfort – you have broken through into light. Superstitions are builders of fear, yet knowledge takes away all fears – those who loved us whilst they were in this world of ‘Earth’ will continue to guide and help from the great eternal world of ‘Soul’. Please move forward embrace the peace and tranquillity one gains through knowledge that life is eternal and our loved ones are but a breath away.
One last point about my personal spiritual mediumship; I am very fortunate to have the capacity to receive object clairvoyance and clairaudience.

A Reply from Patricia
Dear Stephen,
Thank you so much for your understanding. I’m so terribly, terribly sorry that I doubted your integrity. Your message touched something in my heart and I feel such a fool to have abandoned my home in favour of this horrid little motel room. Something tells me that I should not have abandoned the little fisherman, that it may indeed offer some kind of gateway to my dear departed husband Kevin.
I’m not sure whether Lucy coming to Newark is a good thing? Maybe I need to work this out for myself, to face my demons or more to the point to face my angel? I might see if she will cancel in the morning? Your message has given me inner strength and I am no longer afraid. I have decided to pack my bag and go home to the flat tonight and experience the heightened ‘spiritual inter-communication’ senses you talk about. I can tell from your eloquent words that you are a learned and wise man Stephen. And I trust your knowledge of these things.
Kevin was trustworthy too and held a responsible position within HM Diplomatic Service Overseas. Although in many respects Kevin was a practical man, he also held the Mystics he met on his travels in high regard and acquired many artefacts from these people, including the little fisherman. I have been a silly old woman. I am going to close this laptop in a moment, check-out of the hotel and drive back to my flat. I have decided that I MUST retrieve the special object that somehow made it’s way back to me, embrace it and see if it can lead me to the ‘world of light’.
Thank you Stephen I am forever indebted to you. Love and Light – Patricia
Question – Spirit World By: Natasha Rodda
Hi could you tell me if my baby nephew is alright he passed 29th May 2010 and who he is with?
My Answer!
Dear Natasha
Thank you for your e-mail. However before I give my explanation, may I draw your attention to an important point?
With all questions; I take the standpoint that of my answers are generic, as such I take a literal view of the content. In short, I do not give reference to individuals mentioned within the content, or with limited facts, assimilate information about those who have passed into light. The reason is simple. No one person can be in contact with everyone who has passed into eternity, so my answers are general in their structure and composition and reflect a metaphoric answer.
Every person young or elderly, on leaving this world of matter, enter into the world of eternity and peace. No one, is left alone, the progression from one dimension into the next is a natural process. I often give reference to our transition, as the ‘revolving-door’ of life. We are all greeted in light, by our companions of spirit; either a known loved one, a friend, a stranger, a pet etc. We are welcomed, by who we would perceive and feel at comfort with as the optimum greeter. When we are united in the ‘World of Light’ once we have taken our transition from this life, we all find a world free of pain and anguish. The simple movement is well planned, as we enter into our new home land…………………………………………
In conclusion I would say to all people! When we move from the ‘World of Earth’ into the great ‘World of Soul’ we are taking a natural movement, no darkness – only light. For children, or unborn babies, we are comforted by hands that give healing and support. Whereupon, we are nurtured up to a point from whence we have grown, like a child in this world. We learn from spirit guardians to be capable of using all of our faculties as we move outwards, along the corridors of eternity, gaining knowledge and understanding through spiritual enlightenment.

Question – My bel
oved brother by: Rao
Dear Sir,
I’m Rao from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I just have gone through this article. I lost my 37 yrs brother a year ago without knowing what a reason. He went to bed at 2 am and when I woke him up at 7am he was not answering me where I than realise his gone. The doctor claim as sudden death (I enclosed his picture here). Is that any way I can find out how did he pass away?…and I also like to learn about mediumship as interested in it for long time and only thing I couldn’t find one proper guide/master. Can you please advise me in this matter?
Thank you for time & help. Rao
My Answer
Dear Rao
First of all may I say how sorry I am to hear about the passing of your brother?
The sadness of loss, grief and sorrow is felt within our hearts for our loved ones, until we are reunited in the ‘World of Light’. Peace does come, but finding closure after such the sad circumstances, you mentioned, may take time. Spiritual knowledge and faith holds the key to grasping the realisation that the physical body can only be contained within the realms of this world for a short period of time. The time we are all allotted, is perhaps a second, or one-hundred years, or more. To me, this life is part of a greater plan, whereupon the whole of humanity, each and everyone one of us, are within the movement of time. Life is s revolving-door, interlinked between the ‘Two-Worlds of Earth and Soul’. Our lives are like grains of sand, held within the fabric of matter. One by one, the grains decrease until we have an empty vessel. It is at this point that our physical body must return to the earth, and our spiritual body moves out into ‘the golden light’. The new journey as now commenced, we are left with memories and the gifts we have gained whilst in earth, we are still inter-linked with the loved ones now left behind, as we move into eternity, peace and tranquillity. Through our thoughts we still have contact, and to invigorate this process many people send prayers, light candles, or burn incense – this stimulates positive thoughts, helping to strengthen the link between our loved ones in the ‘World of Light’.
I am sure your brother, like all of your loved who have moved forward are at peace, and they wish for you to gain your own deliverance and salvation. It is light that lifts our hearts and spiritual consciousness, now is a time for reflection, yet, a time to move forward.
Reference your brothers passing? All I can verify is, there is a time for birth into this world and there is a time for all of us to more out through physical death, into our rebirth in the ‘World of Light and Eternity’. Perhaps, closure may be received, if you were to move your mind away from this point of concern and grief. Life moves forward, the reason of how any person’s physical death happens, is to those in ‘light’ inconsequential – they have moved on.
You ask about mediumship. In the country where I reside, there are spiritual centres, though this may not be the case in Malaysia. Therefore, may I suggest you take time and look at ‘Spiritualist Resources’? Furthermore, search the internet, or read a little – though I warn too much can cause confusion. I have found a lot of inspiration through Buddhism and Sikhism, because they speak about enlightenment – the opening of the mind! One other source of knowledge may be to look an electronic weekly newsletter on the internet from Victor Zammit, his Friday Afterlife Report at http://www.victorzammit.com all you have to do is contact him – it is a free.
One final point has my spiritual teacher and mentor said about gaining knowledge: “accept and reject at will – if what you read fits your purpose and understand great, but if doesn’t place it to one side”. I wish you closure, peace happiness and enlightenment. I have placed a footnote below I hope it helps you………….

Question – Ghost all the same by: Anne Cooke
Hi when I was about 6 years old I saw 6 ghosts all looking exactly the same, they just watched me then went away, what are they called
My answer
Hello Anne
There is a simple answer. If you can see clearly, these images were not ghosts, they where people from the world of light, our spiritual companions. They may appear to be the same but in both worlds we are all individuals, yet part of the same great whole. If you can’t see clearly, or haven’t developed your spiritual faculty, or live in fear, then they are not clear and appear to be ghostly. A simple answer in gathering spiritual information – “open your mind and you will see a world of Light, Harmony and Peace”.

Question – Spiritual orb? By: Julie
Hi Stephen
When on holidays I took the attached photo. There appears to be a large orb next to my children and a smaller orb in the doorway. There appears to be a face in the larger orb. I do not have any knowledge on orbs a friend told me that it is an orb. Can you please have look at the photo and tell me if it is indeed a spiritual orb.
Kind Regards – Julie
Dear Julie
Thank you for your question and photograph. First of all, may I point out that ‘Orbs’ is not an area where my spiritual work really gets too involved in, please let me explain?
From my formative years; I have seen, or been aware of spiritual energies and the interaction between the ‘Two-Worlds’. When I first got involved in Spiritualism my spiritual capacity developed and extended. I became more aware of bursts of energy around people. At times this was like a watching a fireworks shows, with balls of energy around and about people. I thought everyone saw them, but this is not the case, though all people have the sensory capacity for interaction between people who now reside in the ‘World of Light’.
Though I do not spend much time looking into the subject of ‘Orbs’ to me, it a natural spiritual occurrence, where energy is focused at one point. The consequence gives the view of a ball which can be either globular or spherical object in shape. If one takes the spiritually perceptive view, on the containment of energy, one will grasp that all energy takes its root from a ‘Divine’ source; the interpretation of which I believe is open to the individual’s interpretation. The ‘Soul’ the source of all things, in simple terms, it is described as: “spiritual energy, which manifests itself through the physical body”. Without this energy, we would simply not exist. Therefore, I see orbs as a focused or concentrated point of spiritual energy, which allows people to be aware of a natural spiritual phenomenon. To me, this occurrence is a special portal, for our spiritual friends in light, to make themselves known, to those of us, in this world of matter. Today, there are many who see this as paranormal activity, I do not! It is natural and nothing to be feared. Fear is lack of knowledge, and those people in ‘light’ wish we in earth reach and gain happiness and peace.
You mentioned seeing something within the picture you sent to ‘Spiritualist Resources’. Personally I see nothing, but if there is an image, it would be for your interpretation and not mine. If this ball of concentrated energy is around your children I see this as a positive sign, of spiritual interaction, support, guidance and comfort. In short a very positive occurrence. I am sorry that I do not have extensive knowledge on this subject, yet it is simplicity that allows the individual to grasp the knowledge of spiritual matters. Sadly, too much talk about paranormal activity, the supernatural, ghosts and phantoms allows many people minds to dwell in shadows, rather than within the splendour of the realms of golden light and spiritual balance.
Please enjoy any other spiritual encounters as you move forward in light. I have placed a footnote reference ‘Energy’ I hope it explains a little more.
With showers of light – Stephen
Footnote on Energy
Energy is a natural science, the word has its roots in ancient science, and today it is used in many other disciplines. The word energy is widely used in various spheres of life; however the meanings ascribed to the word may vary in many ways. One definition that encompasses many of the present usages is that energy is “the potential for causing change”, and is a concept used to understand and describe processes. This definition captures the sense that energy is often viewed as the cause for changes that humanity observes, and may lead to understanding spiritual matters including ‘Orbs’.
Smelling gas/scorching/burning by: Carla Waller
I keep smelling gas/ scorching, some burning, but it’s the first time I’ve had this, my dad died two years ago and it’s his birthday today. Also I’ve missed a period could this have anything to do with it
Hello Carla
Regarding your question about smelling burning, you became aware of on your fathers birthday.
If one takes the view that once we pass into the realms of ‘Eternal Light’ loved ones are able to use all of our sensory gifts to interact with people in this ‘World of Earth’. In short to see, hear, smell, taste and touch, because all people have the ability to receive the natural interaction linking the ‘Two-Worlds’. Why does this happen, because our sensory capacity is a natural law! So, there is no reason why you should not be aware of forces beyond this world. You mentioned a birthday, this is an indicator that links the emotional world we all have, accordingly heightening our sensors, providing a platform through emotion, to our loved ones, who have passed beyond the golden light and out into eternity.
Regarding the medical condition you write about. I believe this natural medical situation has nothing to do will the situation. Again, my thoughts are that we first of all we should always look for answers to a natural occurrence, and not to look for a supper-normal happening, which leads to confusion and misinterpretation.

Does he know I’m sorry? By: Kerris
Hello Stephen
I lost my dad to a sudden unexpected death 3wks ago and I never got to say goodbye, you see we had not been in touch for the last 9yrs due to his marriage. I feel so guilty and unhappy that we never got to make peace. I have had a couple of experiences since his passing, would this be my dad coming to see me? Does he know how bad I feel for how things were between us? Can he hear me when I talk to him? The guilt and the ‘ if only’ are tearing me apart.
Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
Kind regards Kerris
Dear Kerris
I am sorry to hear about your heart-rending situation around the passing over of your father. Often, the sad issue of guilt, you write about affects people who have not been in close communication for some time. It is a frequent problem affecting families where there have been problems, fall-outs, difficulties or other complications.
Like all people I have family who I have no interaction with, it is part of life, we have different values, aspirations or social needs. On a personal level; I often think about individuals who look at their ancestry, when they have so many members of their family who they don’t interact with in a positive way. Perhaps it would be better if we realised we are part of the whole family of humanity.
From a spiritual perspective, answers are not in the past, yes, the problem may have it source there, but one must try to move forward. All people who passed from this life and move out into the ‘World of Light and Peace’ are aware of the situations that are left behind them. The wish of our loved ones, who now reside in light, is to want the bereaved to lift their hearts and souls, and to move forward through their life. Enlightenment is the situation that envelopes all of us when we leave this life. Perhaps this is why you are aware of your father, it is natural to feel, see, hear or simply sense the presence of a loved one after they have moved forward into light.
May I suggest you try to visualise your father? Look at a favourite photograph, think in a positive light and embrace calm and peace. If possible cast your mind back to happy days, of fun and joy. I am sure the positivity of happy memories will stimulate the healing process and support you both as you move forward, until that happy day when you are reunited. The link between you and the bridge connecting the ‘Two-Worlds’ is love, in its purest sense. Move forward with your life and you will gain inner-peace because love never dies. Gradually the pin will ease and the brightness within in your heart will be rekindled, making way for warmth and harmony.

Grief healing by Lynda
My soul mate passed away 9 years ago, and I feel like he took most of me with him. The things I used to enjoy, everything. I miss him so much, still. I lack a life at all, and am very content with staying home with my parrot, I do not socialize. I just came from a medium, and he said I needed spiritual healing. Can you help me?
Dear Lynda
It is always sad to hear of anyone who has lost the great love of their life, particularly when described as a soul mate. Time, is often spoken about with the suggestion that over a period of time, pain lessens and is reduced. Perhaps in some ways it can, yet like you, sorrow is often an easily open-wound, situated very close to the surface.
Seeking the ultimate proof of the continuity of life beyond the physical, may take a short time, or many years. Nonetheless, all of our loved ones, who have moved out into the ‘golden dawn’ work to build the link, which is built through love. Those in the great world of light, wish the bereaved to gain inner-peace and understanding. Yes, it is often a long lonely pathway, until we are reunited again, when we move to our new homeland in eternal light.
You mention a parrot. Often a pet can be a great comfort; animals give unconditional love and are true friends. However, I would suggest that interaction with other people is great way of easing the pangs of grief. Time and again, sharing one’s own feelings, helps lessen the burden of loss and anguish. My conclusion would be to try to socialise and talk to other people who have, or are, undergoing the same circumstance described in your question.
The medium you spoke about would appear to be prescribing a way of support from the World of Light. Indeed, Spiritual Healing is a wonderful gift, which provides an opportunity, for you to move forward in your life. All you need to do is check your local press for a Spiritualist Church/Centre or if you reside in the United Kingdom, contact the National Spiritualist Union (SNU) on: www.snu.org.uk you will find all of the spiritual healing contact details you require.
I hope this short answer leads you to the future with brightness, peace and understanding.

Could you help me please as I need to know he is ok, I want him to know how much he is missed and loved so much. I just want him to come home to me. He wasn’t meant to go before me as he so much to live for…………. I am devastated please help me with this……. Regards Melanie
Hello Melanie
I am sorry for the slight delay in replying to you owing just returning from a holiday, where there was no internet connections. Nonetheless, I would like to send my sincere thoughts to you, your family and friends regarding the tragic loss you have recently experienced. There are no simple or hard and fast answers, so I have spent time contemplating my thoughts to your correspondence, ensuring I was clear in my reply to you.
The tragic situation you explain regarding your son is heart wrenching, when one considers the implications and deep sadness you must be enduring. When someone is in the prime of life, the pain you and your family feel must be dreadful and unbearable. With a loss so deep my thoughts and heart goes out to you, in the belief that though, it may take time you will, eventually gain the peace you richly deserve. With the time-scale from January being so short, your loss each day must be terrible. Many people say that time is a healer. Nevertheless, you also need to gain inner-peace, support and reassurance that life is a continuous flow from this world, out into the greatness of a fuller life in the realms of eternal peace. From a personal point of view, the pain of loss is often masked, leaving a scar that is easily opened.
I am sure that your son will have moved from this world and entered into the Golden Light, and will try desperately to communicate with you. Often, it is difficult to find an appropriate venue like a spiritual meeting, or get a private reading where communication is made with loved ones who are now in the World of Light. Therefore, the best opportunity to make contact is through the landscape of your dreams, or within the movement of your own thoughts. There is no set rule for someone’s return to pass information. But opportunity will arise, where your son will be able to assure you of the peace he has now gained. The bridge between you both is the link of ‘love’, this is the connection that will never die, and this bond connects you both eternally. Gradually, as you start to gain inner-peace within your heart, this will gladden your son as he comes to terms with the difficulties of the physical world and balances them with the tranquillity, peace and serenity he is now within.
Many people consign their life, to supporting the interaction between the two-worlds. Indeed all true spiritual mediums work in light, grasping the small portal, which inter-connects with our loved ones who now reside in total ‘light’. We are all aware that one day we must all leave this world, and take the smallest of steps, into peace and tranquillity. Our loved ones now reside in the eternal garden of light, still have concerns over those loved ones left here in earth. Their desires are that peace will release their loved ones from heartache and sorrowed hearts. It has been well documented when we gain peace within our own hearts; it helps our loved ones, to move further along the corridors of enlightenment. May I politely suggest that you take time to be still, perhaps in a certain place in your home, either alone, or with close friends and loved ones and try to gather the momentum of peace within yourself? What I am trying to explain is a meditative consciousness, which allows you and your mind to relax, collecting positive thoughts, where you can try to work in tandem with your son who is just one small step ahead.
On occasion there is a misunderstanding of the work of spiritual mediums; the purpose is in actual fact very simple! It is to support the process of communication and to allow objective dialogue to take place in support of the many like yourself who are bereaved, sad or heartbroken.
I understand that you live in Australia. May I suggest you visit a local Spiritualist Church or Centre, within your own locality? Perhaps, you may find guidance on Spiritualist Resource’s website. There are many excellent spiritual mediums throughout the world. Each one works upon a slightly different vibration, this allowing for our loved ones in light, to link with someone who is attuned to their specific vibrational level. If you attend a local Spiritualist meeting, please try to have an open-mind. An open-mind will help you to gain a communication link, which will ultimately provide the proof you desire. The communication, at first may be easier for other family members to bridge. Loved ones, who have crossed into ‘light’, can be more spiritually developed, finding it easier to open the portal of light. They will help the link to open and built. So, if you get a ‘reading’ it may well be other members of your family or people, you do not know directly, who will open the dialogue between the two-worlds. Incidentally, the link I mention is developed through ‘love’ in its purest sense. Love is the great energy of all things and the bond between the Two-Worlds. Love is the channel in which all of our loved ones embrace, allowing them to pass the great news – that life is eternal in the kingdom of light, peace and eternity.
Once more, may I say how sorry I am to hear about your personal tragedy, regarding your son Sean? Please try to realise that you shouldn’t have moved into light before your son. Often when a parent or grandparent survives a younger member of the family, it is very difficult to come to terms with the situation. It is a heart-rending. All I can say is there is a greater plan in operation through the process of life, both here and in the world of light and peace. Sadly, this great plan is within the hands of a greater intelligence I refer to has divinity.
In conclusion, may I wish you peace and that you gain the proof of the continuity of Sean’s life in the world of total light, peace and tranquillity.

Hi Stephen wonder if you can help me I really wanna get into mediumship, had a couple of readings now, which was helpful, please can you tell me what books are really good to read???? I want to read a book about how to speak to the angels and also how to become a medium???
Thanks ever so much. Kind regards
Hello Michael
This is a type of question I regularly receive. Nonetheless, which book to read, is an individual matter, one book will suit one person and not another. Over my 30 years in this work I have read very little, tending to take the view that too much reading can confuse and cloud basic spiritual truths. I am fortunate in that I had an excellent spiritual teacher and mentor. Yet, even with my teacher, his first choice was to take hold of an idea or thought, and convey this into a philosophical interpretation.
The main aim is to transfer spiritual information into a simple format, making it easier for you and other’s to digest and understand. All within in this life is a reflection of the next. Yet, the mirror image we receive doesn’t hold the clearness of the realms of light and peace. On the other hand, if you look at the website for Portobello Spiritualist Church in Edinburgh, Scotland you will find two publications. I find of particularly interest the one written by Bernice Winstanley for the beginner. The other excellent publication is by a good friend of mine Dr. David Gordon Wilson is more of an advanced nature. There are many books, covering the whole gamut of subjects. But, I really do feel that it is important to work out your own spiritual aspirations, and relate them to your own life’s experiences. I am not sure about what you mean by talking to angels, the interpretation is somewhat confused over recent years. But, I take the assumptive view you mean people who have entered into the golden light of eternity often referred to as the ‘Spirit World’. I believe you will have to gain training, spiritual awareness and experience through a knowledgeable teacher or mentor. May I suggest a visit to a local Spiritualist or Spiritual Centre should be your first port of call?
No matter how many books or internet pages you read, they cannot make you a medium. The reason is simple! The gift of spiritual mediumship is divine by mature. In short a gift given by god. You may wish for it, but if you are not gifted, then it will not happen. Today there are many who seek the gift for the wrong reason. The underlying principle is simple – the gift is not for self, rather for the support of the whole of mankind through spiritual verity, understand and for relaying the great message to others that life is continuity.
If you want a copy of a transcript I have from a scholarly man who left this life on the ill-fated RMS Titanic, which sank on the 15th April 1912. Please contact me via e-mail. The information holds none of the vagueness often found in scores of today’s books. The information is clear, concise and simple, in-short what life is all about. I feel it is we, who make it harder to comprehend.
May I wish you every success in your endeavours to unfold your many gifts?
With best wishes and blessings – Stephen
